it's an issue of personal bias since this was #1 Most Influential Album to my own musicmaking practice (along with john lennon's solo piano stuff) in high school but I sort of feel like a holistic understanding of the Collective of Animals is incomplete without listening to the re-reversed version of this album...at least relative to its reputation and how many people I see checking it out and giving it a good think. several canon-worthy songs at the very least, and "opis helpus" is top of the AnCo pack, maybe like top 5-10 taking everything they ever did into account

Who records an album and thinks "this would sound even better backwards"??

it's annoying yah, such a good album otherwise too with a few absolute gems
