I listened to this all the way through last night, I forgot how good it was.

Just got the re-release in the mail today, and the production seems like a muted version of the original. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

Downloaded this last night. Much better than i thought it would be, if it had better production i think i'd prefer it to Leaving but still its really close.

I agree with bodominflames that this is up there with LYBM, perhaps a bit better sometimes. Even though 'Bath' is their best, I find myself listening to this a little more than other motW.

There are some really beautiful and edgy moments here I can't get enough of, like Maria-Stella on vocals in 'Ferocious Weights', the relaxed and surrealistic bittersweetness of 'Undine...' or the death grunts in 'Catharsis of Sea-Sleep and Dreaming Shrines' over one of the most flawless and stunning clean guitar figures I've heard. 'Catharsis...' might in fact be the best song on the album. Even with Toby's raw and undeveloped falsetto popping up a few times hehe. Intense stuff.

Great album, but the video for Pondering a Wall might be one of the worst ever.

Just popping in again to say that Blight of River Systems is so fucking great. Song puts me in a fucking good mood every time I hear it.

This album doesn't get enough love. I think I prefer this to LYBM, despite the production I really can't find any flaws.

I'm on Undine right now, this album is great so far. Sounds less metal than their other releases though

This is much more chaotic than their other releases, the production is just terrible so it's not as hard-hitting. A Conception Pathetic is like their most metal song too.

But I prefer this to Leaving Your Body Map, this is just so good.

I do need to get this. This is only Toby Driver that I've yet to listen to. The only song I've heard was Pondering A Wall, and it didn't grab me. But from you guys are saying, I should probably get it.

Maybe it's because I'm listening to the re-release, but I'm not really hearing any terrible production here.

Listening to this for the first time in about two years. Ahhh... it's been way too long...
