I remember people comparing this one with Powerslave when it came out because of the whole Egypt theme and stuff. Of course not as good but still a great album.

Burden is my favorite, mostly because of it's trilogy. I don't think you will agree because it's more harmonious than their earlier shit, has Ripper on vox, and is about American history.

Album Rating: 3.5
well that song is about 9/11......pretty heavy subject over here. the songwriting could've been better agreed. if anything, go straight to The Reckoning - it's the heaviest song on the album with the nastiest riff(s).
Burnt has a lot of riffs too and then the rest are scattered

the first 3 albums have so many great riffs, obv the s/ts brought down by the vocals and production but even this which a lot of dudes consider their best doesnt do near as much for me as the earlier shit, it was heavy as shit i think jon was pissed at clinton or about living in a trailer park but it made the music so much more effective

Album Rating: 3.5
yea no way is this his best, he obviously tried breaking into the next level of popularity with this one but the fans weren't biting
i also like dark saga and horror show mostly for its theme
my rating for burden is definitely too high, i'm bringing it down

Album Rating: 3.5

your a great lead guitarist if you can cover that album
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
you mean rhythm? honestly i find the riffs more challenging than the leads most of the time the one in stygian is tricky for sure but most of the solos are pentatonic or diminished or whatever the fuck but yea great guitar playing all around on that record
