Only thing these guys are good for are admittedly good vocals from their bassist and the ability to make crowds start ninjafighting pits. Otherwise, bleh.

hahaha, have you ever seen the S*** Happens DVD form Every Time I Die? Keith Buckley stops in the middle of "Bored Stiff" because the crowd was a "Parrallelagram Pit" not a "Swirling Votex".

Everything As I Lay Dying writes is at least 4 times more crappy/ poor then anything Converge writes. Converge can't even be compared to when it comes to writing, at least as far as bands of the metalcore genre are concerned. As I Lay Dying just blend in with the rest of subpar metalcore acts that ruin the name of good metal.

i think they are about subpar, as subpar would be considered any new band that sounds like any other band that just came out, but yes, Converge is hard to compare to AILD

everyone bashes the vocals on Converge and don't seem to realize that they have little actual significance to the pure intense genious of the music, they just add to thiken the heaviness and chaoatic atmosphere.

Meh... vocals mean a lot to me. and if if it's a style that I can't stand, then it's hard to get into the band as a whole.. though I am listening to "The Broken Vow" now and it's alright... the beginning is a little annoying, but later on it gets to be easier to listen to.This Message Edited On 04.19.07
