I can certainly see why you think this way^^^^. Have you checked out their Given to the Rising. You can't tell me that album lacks in raw heaviness.

I play Neurosis- Times of Grace on iTunes
and then play Tribes of Neurot- Grace on WMP
when played at the same time, it's a truly epic experience.

Easily one of my favorite albums. The raw heaviness and emotion coupled with doomy ambiance is amazingly well put together.
Both Grace and Times of Grace at the same time is quite the experience.
