bodominflames, I do not think that their music is "top notch." they essentially updated 80's hair metal into a more modern form, with harsh vocals and increased speed and such. their music is incredibly boring and tedious to me, but their appeal is pretty obvious so I can tell why you would like them. just not my deal.

Meelk, I think that if you listened to this album a few times it would grow on you. This is hardly updated 80's hair metal. A modern form of 80's hair metal would be Buckcherry or Velvet Revolver. I think that if you listened to this a couple times you would find that those boring, tedious moments would turn into an amazing array of musicianship. That was what happened to me atleast

This isn't close to hair metal.

Black Widow is an incredible song bodominflames, I like it better than their self titled track. Wrath Within sucks apart from the solo though.

Yeah, but he prolly thinks that because of the keyboards. I mean, just go look at a Follow the Reaper soundoff, someone gave it a two because it had 'cheesy keyboards' and sounded like 'a pop album'.

Wasn't pantera4lyfe an actual user a while ago? I feel as though I remember that person.

While not good, the vocals are catchy. I can't decide between this and FtR and HCDR.

I can, HCDR , follw the reaper, hatebreeder

hatebreeder has been growing on me though, so it may soon pass ftr, though i dont think i'll ever like a cob album more tan HCDR, i just love every song too much on it. Plus it has the title track and bodom beach terror, two of bodom's top five imo

Hatecrew Deathroll is an excellent album, but I dont think it can stand next to Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper. Its just on a slightly different course, I guess you can say I like HB and FTR better because theyre simply more melodic and unique.

Exactly. I think Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper are better, but I enjoy HCDR more than FtR because I believe FtR has more clunker tracks on it. That means I think this is their best album now that I think about it.

Wait so you think FTR is better, but you like HCDR more?

I just like HCDR most cause i cahn obsess over every track except for maybe "chokehold," which is still awesome, just not as awesome as the rest of the album.
