I listened to the whole album when it was released and I was disgusted.
This album is the same equivalent of taking your entire music career and shitting all over it.

This is by far there worst work, its crap.

This was pretty rediculous. Its almost like Nile coming out with an acoustic album.... It just doesnt happen. Some pretty good guitar work on some songs tho.

thought this was ok. korn used to be one of the bands that got me into heavier music. my friend slapped me for saying korn were heavy, so he let me borrow some opeth (who are now my fav band) and some older thrash metal stuff

Korn opened heavy music to me too, along with Slipknot a nd a bunch of other nu-metal bands. It wasn't till I bought Hypocrisy's Virus after seeing their video in the movie Alone In The Dark.

I think KoRn are responsible for a large portion of us getting into heavy music (me included) but it surprises me... normally something so dark musically doesn't really get so mainstream.

great review. i love your bad religion reference by the way.
i don't mind korn, but i probably won't check this out
The ignorance of that statement is immesurable. Nu-metal has been a genre of music since Anthrax collaberated with Public Enemy, and it is most easily defined as 'New Urban Metal', which is basically a form of rock/ heavy metal blend that is musically powered by groove orientated bass-lines, simplistic guitar structures, jazz or hip-hop based substructures, and lyrical expression of angst/ anger usually displayed in childish way
seriously?!
i have never heard of it called "new urban metal".
still the term fucking annoys me to know end.
new urban metal.
now that makes some sense.
if they did rep here i'd give it to ya.
edit: it was korn that got me into heavy music as well. This Message Edited On 04.03.07

hmm, watched this on MTV.
i found it pretty interesting, as the reviewer puts it. i liked freak... amy lee added a sweet touch to the song. coming undone was also done very well.
overall, i thought it was pretty good, with the cure making a guest appearance and all. the songs were thought out pretty well also.
btw, good review.

Good review. Is this worth checking out?

i guess some artists wouldn't suit accoustic settings, my solo suff has a kind of cld feel which coms form my extensive reliance on FX and my bands is just never relaxing listening *(actually we have one semi accoustic song) and I think thesame kind of thing applies to korn, they are partially led by the feedback and crunch.

Well that answered my question.

This album sounds terrible.

I never liked KoRn. Or Slipknot.

I think the operating word was large PORTION... else I would have possibly used a more universally accepting term... maybe everyone?

although the flamenco-version of Blind is horrible, Munky shows that he can play a lot better stuff than the so-called shitty riffs. This Message Edited On 06.07.07

a dirty sanchez is the technique of applying a fecal mustace to your sexual partner after either engaging in anal sex or anal fingering. the feces from the penis or the fingers is wiped on the lip of the sexual partner, in the shape of a moustace.
