that's what I love about this album, the way you can hear neil young connecting with the audience, explaining his songs. Makes it so much more intimate.

While I agree with you I would like it if they had cut out all that for the cd and left it on the dvd.

An amazing album it is. Neil Young at the top of his creativity, it's just so cute how he apologize for the fact that he play ''some new stuff'' from his album Harvest, which came a year after this masterpiece. Well, this new stuff kicks so many asses, please don't be sorry Uncle Neil.

I'd read some critical comments here that he talk so much between the songs. Well, he's not a Ramone. He just sit there, chill and relaxed, talk a bit about his past, clean his harmonica in a glass of beer and sing his songs. Trying to be one with his audience. No, not trying, it's not forced. He just became one with his audience, this particular evening. Essential during a intimate live recording.

This album earns my deepest respect, so my full rating.

5 stars for my hero please!

Yeah seeing Neil at Massey Hall is one of my top concert experiences for sure. Went during the Le Noise tour and it ended up being used in a documentary
