Like many others i found myself very disapointed with the direction chimaira took on this album. Although this is the sound one would expect after being dropped from roadrunner records.

So you seem big into metalcore and nu-metal. That's why you're dissapointed. Chimaira are now more of a industrial/post thrash band. But I don't imderstand your point about them being dropped from roadrunner. RR sucks...so they get better IMO.

I never was a Chimaira fan either really. Recently saw them in concert with Killswitch and Dragonforce. They put on an awesome show, so much so I had to get Resurrection the next day. Awesome album.

There's some Fear Factory influences here and here. The Flame intro is a good exemple. That's what I meant about industrial.

hmmmm, but still when i think industiral i think synthesied drums and overly distorted guitars. Maybe the Fear Factory influence is the Metal or Death metal sound of Fear Factory. Its funny, FF has no keybordest do they? but they are still considered Industrial Metal or Indistrial Death Metal

Since DIno has leaved the band I haven't really check it out. Demanufacture and Obsolete are their best. Digimortal is also a good one.

Speaking of which, it's GRAMM-AR. Good review, I agree that this is the highlight of their career to date. I've seen them live a couple times (opening for DANZIG, of all people) and they definitely won me over to deserve my kudos and financial support.

Have they switched record labels since their last album?I was just wondering because I have all their other cds and I was trying to get this from BMG,and I was wondering if they were ever going to get it or if they just hadn't posted it yet.
