Give it time, it's got some great atmosphere and melodies

And you definitely need to be in the mood for it, but when you are it's a really rewarding listen. Personally I find very few
boring moments on this, but their debut had a few boring tracks imo. And, well, let's just not talk about the two other ones

Agreed. I haven't heard anything off the last 2 albums except Waving, which I liked.

Favourites from this are End Of The World and 1,000 people and I could listen to them in any mood

@Omair yeah, Waving is actually pretty cool, but the rest fails to reach the quality of this and the debut.
@Torontonian have you heard Blackfield IV though? Welcome to my DNA is a masterpiece compared to that
bullshit. You can't just do an album with 2 great songs and 9 filler tracks

@onirium from what you describes its already better than WTMDNA. It doesn't have a single good song and the lyrics are fucking awful.

I haven't jammed this since forever... I got tired of it after a while and started to find many songs tiring and cheesy - which I still do to a lesser extent. But tracks like Once, My Gift of Silence, Christenings, Epidemic and End of the World are so powerful and heartfelt that it's easy to forgive those flaws

The worst moments are way worse than the debut (1,000 People, Miss U), but stuff like Christenings and Once and This Killer and Some Day are so fucking emotional, better than anything else they've done.

Once is fine, but idk, hearing Steven sing about a woman's hips just seems weird to me for some reason

It'd be pretty hard to enjoy anything Steven Wilson if you got a hangup about questionable lyrics, dude's got one of the clunkiest pens around
