I'm sorry, I thought this was a discussion board about the band's work. Didn't know it was just for fanboys. I'll take my leave.

I dont like this band, i dont hate them, but i dont like them.
The only reason i didnt give this album a 2 is because Hero/Herione is 'the' best pop-punk song ever made.

after hearing it, it's not really not too much of pop-punk song anyway. There is surely traces of some pop-punk, but it's basically just pop-rock.
Either way, you should give that honor to Gatsby's American Dream or Say Anything. (if referring to newer pop-punk)This Message Edited On 06.28.08

these guys are really generic and terrible, just like CIWWAF and the million other bands like them.
|
| |
Generic yes, but some of the songs are pretty flippin' sweet.

this isn't pop/punk at all. this is actually emo. The CORRECT form of emo. Not screamo, not hardcore, not metal. EMO, which this band derives from. Martin Johnson's voice does not whine which sets this band apart from other emo bands. This album was written about the lead singers life right from when he left home up until now. Hence "The Great Escape" being the first song and "Holiday" being the last. Their lyrics are generally original, perfect examples are hero/heroine and me, you, and my medication. As for CIWWAF, FOB, all of those bands are sell outs. Their music is the same and have no meaning. Their music is generic because it has no personality or life story to it. That's what sets a band aside from others, the ability to create music that attracts the attention of people who enjoy completely different types of music. Of course there will be a song on any artists album that reminds you of a different song. You could find this on any artists album/s. It's simply a matter of opinion, not fact. This is simply my opinion.

this isn't pop/punk at all. HAHA OH WOW

Every once in a while a band comes around that is so void of originality, so vague and impersonal, that I'm offended enough to give them entirely too much attention on message boards. This is one of those bands.

Worst $10 I ever spent. Every song except The Great Escape is a pile of nothing. By what kind of sorcery did this band tour with Motion City Soundtrack. This sets a terrible precedent for other uninspired teenage non-musicians to get fatass contracts just in case the 14 year-old suburban masses happen to like this shite.
