seriously though, i applaud reviews like this, i was expecting a bit of a piss-take, but you managed to write an interesting and informed review, with a bit of humour too.

and i am sooooo checking out the team rocket song for that opeth riff... i bet akerfeldt's a pokefan!!!

I can see this actually being good, tbh. I loved Pokemon, but only back when they had about 199 Pokemon (and Mew!). The first movie owned me, and I still like it to this day.

But once they started getting 600 pokemon or something (Stubble? Seriously?), I gave up on it, too. Pokemon Training Battle Elite Force Hybrid XTREME Team or whatever they call the shows now is too much.

ps. And the soundtrack for the first Pokemon movie sucked so I would hope this is good.

I actually cried during the Pikachu's Goodbye song. That was a sad moment to my ten year old eyes.

I remember that, I almost cried too. I also felt really sad when Ash, Misty, and Brock broke up.

Another legitmate threesome lost from society due to outside pressure.

I remember my sister and her friend outright bawled during the scene in which Ash turns to stone in the first movie. It was so sad at the wee age of nine.

Aaah i want to go play pokemon now. I havent played that in so long.

I thought you weren't able to get any legendary birds or Mew/Mewtwo in Silver?

I'm pretty sure Lugia was part of Silver, as were the three birds (all from the second movie). Mew/Mewtwo I traded in from Red, I believe.

I haven't played it in so long though (going on four years), so I'm hazy on the details. I just know that I never used Gameshark.

I got Mew from a friend who traded it to my Red, where I then proceeded to trade my Mewtwo obtained by way of cave dwelling and MasterBall using, and then traded them to my Silver.

Thus, they used Gameshark, I did not.
