Get this one after TAIR, Crimes has the best vocals + it's a fun, fun album.
Yeah, I will. I loooove the vocals on Crimes. The high-pitched ones especially. :D

I saw them locally a week ago... fantastic show. Enbelievable energy from band and crowd, loved every second of it! Lack of familiarity with the material from Crimes didn't really dampen the experience... they played some of teh catchier songs and it was just fantastic.
Peacock... was great live, too. I caught a riff from The Shame as the guitarist was pissing around between songs and desperately hoped they'd play it, but no such luck
I'm giving the CD much more playtime now.

I'm in love with "Love Rhymes..."

I thought this was a good album, and I love what they are doing, but I really miss their older stuff. Their older stuff was what I fell in love with. Then BPIB came out, and I loved it as well. It was different from their old stuff, but it was a great album. When I first heard Crimes it was a demo version, but I was like "whoa, what is this?" I had a hard time getting use to the really high vocals. My friend had the mastered version a week or two later, and I liked it. It was just very different sounding. It was interesting and they've expanded their music a lot more. That's what I love about the Blood Brothers. They are always changing.
Great live band.

i dont get why people had a go at blood brothers for "selling out", all bands like this change their sound all the time, and lots of em have weaker later albums, probably cos they run out of ideas. i think cos they signed a major label ppl thought they had sold out, lol V2 has also signed the icarus line who could never be accused of selling so i dont think the Blood Brothers sold out. the album rocks but is not as good burn piano island burn, but nvm.

Does anyone here have their very first album?

This Adultery Is Ripe is their first CD.

It's not actually. Check Interpunk if you don't believe me.
EDIT: I think I'm wrong after all. They have an album called 'Rumors Laid Waste' with older songs on them. But this came out in 2003.

Yeah, Rumors Laid Waste was an album that was released with all their first songs on them. I have it, or at least I have most of it. But in reality, This Adultery Is Ripe was their first album.

A simple mistake. I checked myself before I posted, TAIR 2000, RLW 2003. Rumors Laid Waste is very hard to find.

This is fantastic. I think it has more standout tracks than BPIB but as a whole it doesn't achieve the greatness.

your missing some tracks

Album Rating: 4.0
I should really pay more attention to this band =/ **sighs**

Maybe you got the demo? It had more and longer songs, if I remember correctly.

Dude, I intentionally didn't include all the songs in the review. Or you're not looking at the track list.

This is a good album, but not exactly as fun or good as Burn Piano Island, Burn. I'm trying to figure out why this band is in "Other". I would think that they would most likely be placed in the "Punk" section moreso.
