I wouldn't compare ISIS to TOOL at all, very different bands. Isis is extremely thick, dense, and heavy music. The instrumentals take the forefront, and there really arent that many vocals. Tool has a much more vocal approach to their music, and the singing and lyrics are some of the band's highlights. The compositions aren't nearly as layered, and all the singing is melodic. There is none of the incomprehensible screaming that ISIS has. The instrumentals aren't even similar. I have never understood the comparisons between them, both bands are incredible.

i had only put them together cause i know Isis opened for Tool in most all their concerts this last year, so i was merely saying by observation that they would HAVE to be awesome if they were touring with a band like Tool. Then Sam got on and blabbed his mouth. :p

Question to the reviewer: From reading the review one could see you this album deserving nothing lower than a surefire 5/5 classic. How comes you gave it less?
