The title track sucks. The only decent part of it is the first 13 seconds(that sounds like Dont Talk To Strangers imo). After that his vox and the drumming ruin the song.

I actually use to really enjoy this album in high school. Never properly got into the band though.

Come clarity is the only album I've ever listened to. I'm gonna assume everything after it is complete shit. Listening to colony now. It's not bad at all but I doubt i'll get super into it.

Lunar Strain, Subterranean and TJR are the purest examples of Melodic Death Metal I can think of. Everything between Whoracle and Clayman is still great, but after that they turned into Alternative crap.

I did a school project that had to do with lyric analysis in high school and I used the title track from this album and when I played the song after my presentation everyone was just like "wut?......."

Hmmm, wouldn't say that. Bland heaviness is a definite no, but heaviness like Pinball Map and parts of Worlds Within the Margin was fuckin win

there are a lot of reviews like this one on sputnik & this mentality affects ratings drastically - lacking objectivity.
I like how In Flames changed their sound multiple times to date.
sure, there are 2-3 fillers on CC but the album still appears as a whole.
btw... anders just kicks ass on that one. the production matches perfectly, too. sadly, this wasnt the case on Soundtrack to Your Escape.
