Can't stand this band. I mean seriously, they're selling shit that got popular over ten years ago (when it was of far better quality and originality I might add) and putting little if any discernable twist on the music. I mean musically they sound like every other pop-punk band since the Descendents dropped their first record, only with far less musical talent. Stump has one of the most God-awfully whiny vocal styles EVER. They wear f*cking GUYLINER. It's all a stupid trend, don't you get it?

Their songs are trite to the point of irrelevance. The melodies are completely cookie-cutter. Just about every song clocks about 3:30 and features verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus... it's completely BORING. Their absolutely retarded song titles that seem to just ooze that "we're SO f*cking clever" and "we hate the quote-unquote 'Scene' even though it pays our bills and we milk the stupidity of those little 13-year-old girls we market our music to" smug attitude that faux-ironic bands like P!ATD thrive on. It makes me physically sick sometimes... you wanna hear talent in a pop-punk band? Listen to Gatsby's American Dream. They're the GOOD version of FOB and P!ATD.

There's a lot more to music than hooks, fellas. Broaden your horizons a bit.

Look we get it you don't like the band, we respect your opinion (I'm not too fond of them but I don't despise them) but don't talk down to us, for the most part we are smart people who know about music. Don't tell someone to broaden their horizons because you don't like one band they do.

That's the only thing I saw that looks even remotely true.

haha I hate Panic a lot too, but this album is pretty good. Not great but rather average. I understand if you dont like it, I might not like some of your taste too.

But I predict that this will be the last FOB album Ill buy because I dont like the direction theyre going right now

For as long as music has been my primary hobby, my tastes have broadened to genres I never thought I'd ever listen to. Fall Out Boy (disregarding their early live performances prior to live autotuning) has done nothing but put out memorable songs. I don' t understand why people make the argument that the music is uninspired and contrived. It's pop music, and pop music is generally formulaic. Patrick Stump says he lives by the rule "Vocals start before :30, first chorus before 1:00, songs no longer than 3:30." They know they're not doing anything terribly original.

Let it go, this album will be a classic in any music lover with no shame's collection. This Message Edited On 12.29.06

That was actually a well thought and sensible statement, until the last sentence which just came off as ignorant. Some people don't like it, so 'let it go'.
