Okay, firstly I just want to say while the review was fairly well written, I couldn't help but gawp at how you blatantly didn't understand this album. This is a concept album, firstly. It follows the story of Rivers getting bored of his old ways and he wants something more in a relationship - so he finds this Japanese girl, gets caught up in some lesbian esque malarky and ends up crying sorry in Butterfly because he got with this other girl, not with the his Japanese admirer. Read Madame Butterfly? Look it up, it's what this album is loosely based on.
This is a really powerful album, and the lyrics are not childish in the slightest. You mention in Across The Sea how he seems like a internet stalker - okay, the Japanese girl is interested in him, and obviously it's vice versa, and when you have feelings for someone then they are on your mind a lot of the time, and that is what Rivers is trying to portary here.
Okay, it's fair enough if you despise the actual music, but your reasons are totally naff to be honest. And you say there is too much feedback? Well they produced the album themselves for a more sophomore, raw approach. Why? To make it more human and personal. Honestly man, properly listen to an album before you go dissin. He doesn't actually hate it, it's an opposite review.

Well he doesn't particularly like it. I just said that 'if' he dislikes the music because if it's not your taste, then that's fine. It's just he didn't read into it which just annoyed me, because that's where the beauty of the album lies - its lyrics and concept.

^ Check my rating. This is my favorite album of all-time.
Though I've said it before, it seems I'll have to say it again: This is meant to be the opinion of some shallow pop fan who doesn't really get the album, sort of how Cuomo plays the shallow American in the album
I know it's a concept album, and I believe the lyrics are childish, but that there's a reason behind this. In my opinion, Cuomo wrote the lyrics that way to portray a character as some childish American in love with the Japenese girl.
I suppose it's a pretenious, stupid concept for me to try, but I'll stand by this.

Which is why I'm never doing one again.
Oh, and if anyone ever comes to Tolland, Connecticut, go to Papa T's and order the buffalo chicken pizza, because it is awesome, awesome to the max, even when reheated.

It is pretty stupid, i mean i dont review Mayhem albums from the point of view of someone who doesnt like metal, or Mozart from the point of view of someone who doesnt like classical.

I don't understand how this album is seen as uninviting I easily enjoyed this on my very listen of the album. While there are many albums which I had a very hard time getting into like Kid A or High Violet. In comparison this is easy listening.
