Week 4 happened

i feel better after today's steelers loss than i did about the majority of our wins during that 11-0 2020 start

the defense just straight up did not show up... but i'll let it slide because for the first time all season we finally saw how justin fields looks when having to play from behind and besides him taking a 25yd sack in which he also fumbled... i was actually very impressed with him today. 22/34 for 312yds, 55 rush yds and 3 total TDs. easily the best steelers qb performance since 2018 and the rest of the team kinda failed him.

also today was the day i think all steelers fans threw up their hands and finally admitted najee harris sucks. 13 rushes for 19yds today + failing to run out of bounds on the final drive for no reason. meanwhile the corpse of cordarelle patterson was unstoppable until he got knocked out with a concussion. dude is now solidly the third best rb on this team (4th if you want to be cheeky and count fields) and i'll hardly be sad to see him go

Fields is the man yeah. He's had one bad play all season, I can forgive him for that. Also getting sick of the bonehead moves by Pickens. If he doesn't fumble they win the game.

And yeah, as a Bama fan since 2004 it hurts me to say....but Najee is ass. He has no explosiveness, he's hesitant and he's flat footed. Patterson was averaging 7 yards a carry. Najee averaged 0.8 in the first half. Can't keep giving him the ball.

Lawrence needs a fields/darnold/baker change of scenery.

won't happen. he played completely fine today. few misses but also a few bad drops. this franchise is just fucking rotten. every week khan waits to fire doug is a complete waste. once all the dreck is taken out the future is pretty good still and btj is a star already. the roster is good, it's coaching that has stagnated and now collapsed. they will be fine if they hire the right guy but for shad that's an impossible task.

pretty insane how for seven years people were falling over themselves to give SOMEBODY credit for 2017 eagles offense but nobody was consistently good enough to hold the title??

frank reich leaves for the colts directly after and they have a good offense for a couple years despite playing musical quarterbacks. meanwhile the eagles offense goes to shit... obviously it was doug who rode reich's coattails?

then doug starts succeeding in jacksonville as the colts fall apart and reich is fired midseason. then reich goes to carolina and is again fired midseason. history is revised and now the 2017 eagles were doug's team!

now reich is essentially banished from the league and the jags are 3-10 dating back to last season's bye lmao

shoutout to john defillipo who had two awful oc stints with the vikings and jags off the strength of that eagles offense before being banished to qb coach purgatory

and hilariously were so far seeing the exact same thing with sirriani and steichen after he went to the colts. eagles offense goes to shit... colts offense is really good despite playing musical qbs.
