Yeah, have to agree about this being very mid-tempo throughout. And again, the "ferocity" is backgrounded, it's there on Lifeless, Exhale, Inversion, Void, but it's not the focus.

yea rules but I agree, when I listen to this album I don’t really think aggression which sounds ironic with how fast the drums are but I think it’s actually the drumming that’s responsible for this phenomenon

Still exclusively spinning this on my bus rides to work. There's just so much to chew on here. I think the songs on this album are the most memorable since EiF, but the most diverse and unique stuff they have done yet. I'm a sucker for hooks though and this album has more hooks than a tackle box.
