Couldn't agree more. If the production was more akin to their older material and 2-3 more songs on here were of that quality, this would easily be a 4.5 for me

I always found the short intro to be a glorious little blackgaze nugget but that's pretty much where the similarities begin and end. It is a weird intro for such a track but very nicely done.

Probably yeah. I mean they both draw from Shoegaze and Post-Rock (though Deafheaven does that much more than 'tones) and they both deliver great quiet/loud dynamics. So... collab tape when?
