im sure it'll get better as the season progresses but especially after last year I just dont buy the hype on Henry. dude will need 2 tds a game to be fantasy relevant and the ravens will still choke against the chiefs.

Completely new to American Football in general but it just became my new obsession overnight. Don't have a team yet, just trying to watch a lot of games and see which team chooses me haha.

Since I'm pretty new to all the tactics and terms, last nights Redzone was a lot lol, but I had a pretty great time. Timezones are mostly fucked for me so rewatching most of the games but Redzone starts at 19:00 for me which is ideal.

So what are all of your teams? Catch me up ;)

a lot of the userbase is surprisingly concentrated on only a handful of teams

steelers: me, hawks
jaguars: vult, futures
lions: yoyo, slex, trebor(?)
raiders: reich, purplespartan
panthers: sowing, ballstothewall
saints: s0nix, dominion(?)
niners: pencil, demon(?)
titans: mars
cowboys: titan
ravens: trilo
rams: manatea(?)
giants: ryus

think that mostly covers the users who frequent this thread

week 1 takeaways:

- with love's injury and caleb struggling badly out the gate, the nfc north seems like it'll be a lot less competitive than i thought going into the season. lions may just stroll to the division title.

- if houston can continue to run the ball like they did yesterday, the sky is the limit

- baker is apparently just that guy now????? honestly thought his play last year didn't seem sustainable but i guess i was wrong

- not concerned with the bengals at all just yet they always look awful in september

- josh allen mvp campaign off to a great start

- panthers and giants look toast already

- mysterious deshaun watson "arm soreness" injury incoming

as for the steelers, not sure it matters that much who plays qb when the defense seems like its as dominant as ever. all the new signings made their impact felt yesterday, on top of watt, heyward and minkah being the stars they are.

re: wilson vs fields... honestly thought fields opened up the offense enough yesterday with his rushing ability that i think we'd be better off rolling with him for now. truth is, besides pickens and muth we just don't have the horses to field even an average passing offense. but fields is a good enough athlete that when nobody is open (which is quite often) he can turn what would be russ throwaways into positive yardage. not to mention the chance of "developing" fields. just don't really see the upside of starting russ right now

Oef you alright sowing and balls? That was a tough first game.

Haven't seen all the teams and just now rewatching the Lions-Rams game, but the teams calling out to me to root for them right now are the Ravens and the Lions. The Lion's seem to play such a dynamic offense that feels different from most other teams, and the atmosphere in that stadium really comes across. Easy to root for them. Had the same with the Ravens, going toe to toe with the Chiefs and losing by a toe made me really respect that first game.
