Many of the Amnesiac and HTTT interludes are easily this band's weakest material of the last two decades. Burn the Witch isn't among their best or worst, just a very good song. I wish the build-up at the end led to more, but maybe the following song on the album carries the momentum, who knows. In a lot of cases, a song's quality isn't fully prevalent until hearing it in the context of the album anyways.

"considering it can be found in the album art of the liner notes on HTTT and the fact that Yorke said they would play it live if they had an orchestra...back in '06"
did not know
"its been in the works since 03 apparently"
honestly embarrassing that it took them nearly a decade and a half to write one of their worst songs

if it is that old tho im really happy because that makes me a lot more confident that there is a good chance it has nothing to do with the new album

I didn't see those comments until now, yea I'm pretty sure it's been around since 2003. It was part of this article I found before, it reveals some interesting songs that might also appear on the new one...

they've had a couple old songs that they record and release many years later like nude
|
| |
chances are none of those 19 songs will be on the album.

They're gonna pull a Thirteen - Megadeth on us with half of the songs being 20 years old at some point haha, that Pitchfork article did have 19 songs on it.

Well Burn the Witch is one of the songs listed so you're already wrong about that, but regardless I do hope it's mainly new material.

no one said it's on the album....nice trickery perhaps?
|
| |
i know it did i peeped it and considered listening to them
but i sincerely doubt radiohead would do that

well if burn the witch was on that 19 song list and there is somewhere that says that burn the witch is on the album then i stand corrected but im not sure it was on that list and i have seen nothing anywhere saying that it is definitively on the new album. i implore you to prove otherwise.

That Pitchfork list is kind of a stretch anyway, many of them are Yorke solo songs, and the last one doesn't even have any audio to prove its existence. There's definitely interesting stuff tho for hardcore fans who need more Radiohead of some kind.

odds of the song being on the album are high.....especially with a video that was made
|

k so you have no evidence it is on the list or that it says anywhere that its on the album
