Rediscovered this album recently, and I gotta say it's the best extreme metal album I've ever heard. The first four tracks are a perfect blend of pure enraged adrenaline, ridiculously fast and complex riffs, and mind-blowing drums. It's chaotic, abrasive, and yet quite digestible and intelligible. It's perhaps their least "emo" (ish) album, and imo their best sound. I'm surprised that AWLWLB is rated higher than this... Found AWLWLB too commercial, somewhat uninspired, and much less cohesive as a whole.
This > Jane Doe > No Heroes = YFM > AWLWLB > WFCC > PTES > HIAH
