The hair dyeing is forgivable. Liking swans isn't.

Swans and AnCo are one of those precious few artists who can make music that is incredibly aesthetic/creative as well as emotionally stirring

The National are one of the most dull bands I've ever heard, seriously ninety percent stale air

guys he sang about being lonely in a monotone voice that is so REAL quick better 5 it

Poly needs to spend a bit more time in the company of The National, easily underestimated band.

Took a while to get under my skin and I'm a big Tindersticks fan which couldn't have hurt as they share a lot of DNA

I like music that has blood coursing through its veins and can offer me interesting textures, all The National can give me are mumbles and grey sky

The Natuonal are one of those bands who creep up on you slow then dominate your listening - once Berninger's got you he's got you, one of the very best lyricists operating at the top of his game right now
