Can someone please tell me what's the big deal with this band? This album has its moments, I liked East Hastings a lot but overral it felt a little underwhelming to me. Same with Lift your Skinny Fists.

I guess I have to give this some more listens.

"a few" = like ten in this case imo. Also maybe check Sweet Asunder or Allelujah, since those two are much less minimal than this and much shorter than LYSF, so they should be much more accessible.

they both did for me on first listen. I find slow riot is so much more to the point it's almost impossible for it to take more than 1 listen
