"kendrick: “i support trannies. (misgenders) also here are some thoughts on me saying faggot fag faggy faggot fag.”

this comment box: uhhhh actually he was saying transphobia and homophobia are bad. you don’t understand the message

if you really think the criticisms of that song come from people who “don’t understand the message,” you have the critical thinking capacity of a peanut"

My reaction off first listen: very mixed. I like 10-12 out of 18 songs, it's way overboard on some songs and way underwhelming on others, it's very on the nose with the message, the content is great but I don't really wanna replay some of these songs, and damn theres a lot of danceable songs.

Sorry for the rambling run on sentence lol

lmao this rym review

"Im done.....

I am sitting in my room listening to this in my Kendrick Lamar t-shirt. I've listened to every single Kendrick release, hidden release, feature, and spoken word art poem he has ever made. Believe me, if he ever thought it up, I've heard it. In anticipation for this release, I even imitated his braided hairstyle and got a tan just to look more like him.

The biggest letdown in my life. I am forever devastated.

Kendrick is someone who's music I've related to my entire life (I am a single Japanese 20 year old man). Almost none on this album, with one exception.

Halfway through "We Cry Together" I started singing along. "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU DIRTY AS* NIG*A," the entire time tears running down my face.

It has been 2 years since my family left me out of their house because of my style. I have been living on my meager Twitch paychecks and during this entire period Kendrick has been the only light in my life keeping me together. But no longer.

For the first time in hours I've gotten up from my crusty streaming PC and looked around the mess of my room. Knocking over piss bottles and instant noodle cups, I trod over to the balcony where I now stand with one leg over the railing."
