We lost zero pieces on offense besides Josh Reynolds (who legit cost us a Super Bowl appearance) and have, on paper, dramatically improved on defense. All indications point to the Lions being even better this year

I'm a Steeler fan (clearly) but if they can't get over the hump this year then I am 100% hoping the Lions win it all lol. Was rooting for them last year.

Lions have been the laughingstock of the league literally my entire life until last year, I am always glad to welcome any bandwagon fans
|
| |
Exactly why I will be rooting for them if my team doesn't make it lmao. I am intrigued by the Steelers offense this year though. Preseason they only run like 5% of their stuff and Russell Wilson was hurt for like 3 weeks. Kenny Pickett looked like an MVP last preaseason so I don't put too much stock in it lmao.

yeah my jordan love infatuation prob has me overlooking the lions a bit can't argue with any of that
interested to see if jameson takes the next step this year. feels like if he pops off the lions very well might have the leagues #1 offense

Lot of pressure on Jamo this year for sure
I despise the Packers and think their fans are cheaters and terrorists but I can't deny they have a solid looking team, Chicago actually looks good too now that Caleb has shown some flashes in preseason. I expect the North to be competitive

yeah i kinda expect all three to make the playoffs. lions might have the best nfc team period while gb and chi could end up having the nfc's two most exciting qbs by year end.
nfc west also has some real bloodbath potential, especially if the niners face any injuries/regression. don't think any of the cards/hawks/rams will be true contenders but you can't sleep on them either.
nfc east feels like a two team race again but it wouldn't completely shock me if washington or new york ended up being .500 teams. cowboys seem a bit worse on paper, and the eagles still have bad vibes. this division might be more open than it seems.
nfc south... idk guys. think the baker-bucs prob hit their ceiling last season, falcons seem kinda stacked on paper but you just never know with them and who knows how kirk will look, saints are in no man's land, panthers feel like potential bottom feeders. this division will be getting the token 4th seed and that's it.

might as well run through afc too while i'm at it
afc west feels like a guaranteed chiefs division title, with the chargers prob catching a wildcard. broncos and raiders both feel like a year away from making any real noise
i'm prob as high as anyone on the texans and expect them to win the afc south. interested to see if jacksonville will bounce back and if anthony richardson can put together a healthy season. could be pretty spicy. titans feel like a bit of a non-factor this season but there's enough unknown going on here that they could end up being kinda frisky.
afc east i think is prob the hardest division to figure it out. the bills lost as much talent as any team this past offseason but still have maybe the leagues best qb not named mahomes. the jets get rodgers back but again who knows how he's gonna look. dolphins also seem to be on a downward trend and have some weird vibes. this division could just as easily produce 3 playoff teams as it could 1. pats are a year away from doing anything.
lastly the afc north is prob a two team race. could be the best division in football again but every team feels varying degrees worse than last year (though the bengals do get burrow back). ravens feel like the safest bet tho. the steelers and browns prob border on .500 all year and more than likely just miss the playoffs. browns best case scenario is watson getting hurt again lol lets be honest

I actually like the Raiders as a dark horse pick, they were surging last year and Pierce seems like a great fit with the team. Dark horse from NFC I'll take Atlanta or Chicago
|
| |
i would be a lot more interested in the raiders this year if their qbs weren't gardner minshew and aidan o'connell (and i'd prob take minshew over both russ and fields rn lol)
i guess the colts very nearly made the playoffs with minshew last year but idk i don't trust luke getsy calling plays as much as i do shane steichen

Actually yeah I totally forgot that they fucking lost Josh Jacobs too smh, maybe the Raiders continue to suck. Alright I'll definitely take the Chargers then, they've had straight up elite roster with unbelievably bad execution/coaching but my boy Harbaugh is an elite coach (still think his firing from SF is the worst I've seen in my entirety of watching sports)
|
| |
the chargers, raiders and broncos are all complete shit. chargers wr1 is josh palmer. chiefs get to coast again sadly.

Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert is an OP combo, they have a good running back, they have elite pieces on defense, they can cook imo
|
| |
wait who's the good running back lol. it certainly isn't the two injured castoffs from the ravens. mack is ancient and bosa is injured all the time. not sold at all even if i like harbaugh. he's gonna try and play manball and it ain't gonna work.
|
| |
yeah i expect the chargers to just be much better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. feels like every team harbaugh coaches ends up like that.
running the ball, playing good defense, and letting herbert pick his spots and do his thing in the two minute drill feels like a solid 10 win formula. not really expecting them to do much more than that tho. still prob an offseason away from making playoff noise

I fully admit I got my LA teams mixed up because I was thinking of Kyren Williams lol that's my bad, however I'm definitely not sold on just outright writing off Mack or Bosa lol, I don't think they're gonna do anything amazing but I definitely expect a solid bump to yeah maybe 9-10 wins
