I was about to make my first comment in another thread but the chances of me ever listening to the relevant release is minimal at best, so I've refrained for now... learning my lesson.

Yeah there are some huge threads that I just plain avoid to prevent them from haunting my feed lol, so I totally get ya

I'm certainly regretting a few. There's a load of threads I've commented in where I initially intended on listening to the album in question & then never got around to it (so in the meantime it's clogging up my feed).
I'll have to jam them all eventually just so I can at least have an opinion either way.

What's the average 'music discussion period' post-release do you reckon (before it's mostly off-topic)... 3 months perhaps?
Edit: currently my feed has 4 albums (including this) I haven't jammed, not TOO bad.

I've never analyzed that in depth before, but it depends on how hot the album is upon release I think. And then it's a matter of measuring the period by time or by the number of pages?
There are like infinite exceptions and variables of course, and it can be quite easy to get a thread back on the rails if you say something of interest but then let it get derailed again haha.

Yeah it's 4 at the moment, might just be a good day though... I'm going to check again later, might come up with some sort of graph. This definitely needs more statistical evidence before we start throwing around assumptions that it's 'fine'
