It sort of pulls together all their past sounds, I mean all that was before that was all their 90's stuff, BWP, and the monotonous (but still great) Damnation/Deliverance so it diversified a lot, especially by lessening the acoustic guitar stuff and upping the clean singing

The two heavy songs are kind of a natural progression from the heavies from GR. I mean, they stopped focussing on riffs and songwriting by GR and that can definitely be heard on Watershed too
