Neofolk is alright but most laid back/smooth jazz takes me to a 1000x better place than Neofolk. Just imo though, never been a folk head.

I disagree. In Metamorphosis you can hear incredibly good ideas and sounds shockingly good. 'Gnosis' is top tier Ulver.

if it weren't for the 5 minute dnb track i'd consider the ep a pretty fun "perdition city b-sides", limbo central is super dope
but that dnb track drags it down so badly for me, dnb is just puke

For now I dig Themes over Shadows. Haven t finished the discogrun.
Shadows is great and a statement of true artistic freedom. I just feel the love it gets a bit forced. I hope I'm worng with more listens.
