Hearts/Wires grew on me too, my second favorite. Feels reminiscent of good old SNW days

Doomed User is awesome, one of the only good actual RIFFS Carpenter has written in the last 20 years

Don't know about that. I just want a new Deftones record either produced/mixed by Nick or Terry Date

Terry - yes
Nick - hell no the production on Diamond Eyes and KNY was sterile as fuck

Diamond Eyes’ production is godly

Maybe sterile, but Deftones was never a band where i liked rawness on the production side of things. Koi No Yokan had some particulary great production on songs like Entombed and Tempest. Gore for example sounds very undercooked

It is great but i love WP, SNW and KNY much more even when it comes to album covers

Terry Date doing a Deftones album in 2018 would definitely be interesting at the very least - they ain't worked together since the s/t, right?

"best part of Gore: Album cover"
Agreed, I love flamingos. One of my fav animals.

Yes, that is true.
"silence fools this album is fine"
That's the issue mate, it's not excellent or superb, like all their material from 2000 until 2012 (and yes i'm counting self-titled, which is clearly superior to Gore)

"From 1997 to 2012*"
I just knew you would reply that. Like i said, the first two albums by Deftones are like the first two by Radiohead: utterly forgettable compared to their later discography (imo)
