These guys would be a lot better if the singer got some speech therapy and if they cut out the novelty metal parts

scrap the vocalist altogether, and if you even think about making a song longer than 5 minutes, slap the guitar out of his hands. They don’t have enough interesting ideas for a five minute track, let alone something that’s almost nine fucking minutes

The title track has no reason to be 8+ minutes long. Fans go crazy like they've written a modern Bohemian Rhapsody or something too, it's hilarious.

I agree that the vocalist is an annoyance most of the time, but the heavier sections aren't any less interesting than a band like deftones, whom I enjoy, but they write uninteresting riffs that even a 5 year old could learn and people still love them. Regardless though, this album has moments I find to be pretty groovy. And say what what you will about The Summoning, but the first three and a half minutes kick ass lol

Big dog, I shouldn’t have to explain why Deftones don’t face as much criticism as this band, especially when it comes to Steph.

Deftones don’t attempt these dumbass “progressive” tracks. And their longer tracks are typically completely devoid of dumb djent riffs and are soaked in atmosphere. Also, Deftones didn’t even really do that kind of shit until Diamond Eyes, a record that is over 20 mins shorter than this one. See what I’m getting at?

Also, Chino takes Vessel to the fucking cleaners as far as vocalists go. Even washed up 50 year old Chino is better and it’s not even close.

Is this where I can find reasonable metal-likers, preferably those who enjoy mingling?
