I have been following tool posts for a while and I think some user made a comparison between tool 's next album and guns n' roses chinese democracy, well it seems that Maynard thought of that too.

It's like trying to reach the heights of your best sputnik post every time.
It would make you moan too, but we're in the privileged position where nobody gives a fuck about anything we do.

legend has it when he wrote the lyric "I know all the pieces fit," he was putting together a 3000-piece puzzle of white kittens in front of a white background..

Listened to this after like a year and it still hits hard. It's stunning how skillfully it approaches remaining calm, the concepts of zen and joys of being alive, while also accurately addressing how difficult keeping that mindset and occasionally letting your guard down and getting angry at the world.
The Patient hit especially hard after going through Lyme Disease treatment after +10 years of having it, with even getting through it having chronic residual symptoms like pain and anxiety. Even after moments of suffering, I still gave my blood, kept the faith and am still here as Maynard wonderfully puts it. Fucking amazing.
Also, that guitar tone on Parabola is legendary.

That's not a shitpost, I'm confused.
It's so easy to make fun of this album and it's a vulnerable thing to gush about the profound quality Tool has.
So thanks!
