8 years since this album came out and I just happen to be on a btbam kick listening to swim to the moon again, saw that I posted fb statuses with the lyrics like a fuckin nerd 8 years ago lol

2008-2009 and like 2011-2012 were my worst for that stuff, now I barely post on facebook unless if there's a good picture of me or a good song haha

I rediscovered colors the past few days. Probably my favourite album of btbam now. Alaska is still a close second. This is too disjointed. Not sure how I'll like Parallex when I relisten to it.

Man. What a record. Don't think I've done a full listen in 5-6 years. Until now!
I post a lot of useless shit memories about albums so feel free to stop reading
But I remember when they toured for this like it was yesterday. It was Protest the Hero and these guys, opening for Killswitch Engage (does it sound like 2009 yet?)
I didn't go to college or work because I had a hell of a fever. I wasn't coherent and existence was pain. So I double-dosed on every medication I could find and got myself nice and cold med stoned.
Took a cab downtown a PTH was...pretty good...as always. I walked to the front while BTBAM set up. Didn't have to push my way up. Nobody was there. Maybe 20-30 people standing around mingling in this cavernous auditorium. Same stage I graduated high school on. Big place. Nobody was fucking there. And then they start playing, and I'm at the front in BLISS, and people slowly filter in, but you can tell they're confused and just waiting for KSE.
Show ends and it's near-full and I heard at least a dozen people asking eachother what band just played.
KSE starts playing, Adam runs around in his cape for a little but, I leave because the goddamned fever has almost knocked me out, and, also, I hate KSE.
Fast forward to 2012 & 2015 and I'm watching these dudes headline to massive crowds.

Jamming this right now. I prefer this to Colors but everything post Alaska is just plain standard excellent as opposed to amazing imo.

From a persective of someone who thinks a song like Telos or Extremophile Elite are average/bad, what are your thoughts when you hear that blistering opening riff of Telos or that polco guitar solo section in Extremophile? i am curious
