Yeah I wouldn't peg Neige as an extrovert. Maybe you needed an icebreaker about Peste Noir or something.

There's some irony about a white supremacist loving blackgaze if you pardon the pun but I read his statement afew years ago where he cleared the air and it seemed pretty sincere - basically a young guy who was eager to join a black metal band and was naive about thinking the political views wouldn't bleed into the music or who knows maybe he's just trying to wash the blood off his hands

I’m glad this is still in regular rotation. Stunning

Sometimes when I finally adorn my faves with that shiny five there’s a temptation to preserve their sheen by shelving them. I need to just give myself up a little more easily. Embrace it

perhaps I could put this tops one day. The nostalgia for A Sun That Never Sets is stronger and almost unparalleled generally tho. And then there’s Salvation!

Practically impossible ranking my personal peak of the ‘big 3’ against each other

my top 3/5/10 post-metal is very much affected by whether Agalloch is eligible

Hint: If you don't think this album is a boring piece of garbage (aside from like, 2 songs - So Did We & Wills Dissolve) you are sadly mistaken

I feel if I wasn't paying attention to what was going on and just had it on as background music I would enjoy it a lot more... but that's not really the point of music now is it.

On the other hand, absolutely LOVE Wavering Radiant. Very engaging.

This is a music review site, is it not? Unless you can only 'critique' things that don’t go against the status quo...
