yeah those are fun when they do em rright. i love how slapped on they are, it makes it more ridiculous and unexpected, and the fact that a lot of the clean parts are just reworked versions of melodies they toyed with before it is cool too. i like all the clean sections on here, they may just 'be here to show off' or whatever but their a lot of damn fun

andcas that doesnt make a strong case at all for why the album is musically a 4.5. The live performance and difficulty of the music is obviously impressive, but doesnt apply at all to the actual quality. the musicianship on emerson lake and palmers "brain salad surgery" is ridiculously impressive but that album is barely a 3 imo, you cant use difficulty of the music or a live dvd version of an album to justify your rating
