Actually I'm not writing a review :P. But yeah after a few listens it's not doing too much for me.

Don't see it going over 3.5. I liked Axe's drumming more on Heritage. I wanted a Nepenthe part 2, that

would have been really cool

PC is 3.8-4.4 range and definitely better than this

To me, PC is not that much better than this. I mean, of course, PC is more consistent and feels more

focused, but to me, a huge part of what made Heritage so great is Axe's drumming. And that's my only

disappointment about PC, I can't find the same quality and creativity in his drumming

"it feels more focused"

That's the problem, I was hoping that they would let loose after Heritage rather than play it "safe", and especially with Mendez co-composing

theres really no room for axe to do anything crazy on PC though. this was rooted in 70s prog which left a lot of room for meandering, not so much on PC

i mean he has some sick beats in eternal rains but other than that i think he does a damn fine job of blending his proggy drumming with the heavier sections

It's just as good, but it doesn't stand out as well as on here. Probably because there's more going on in PC than on here

The snare is a bit dull imo and that annoys me. Should have been higher pitched. Also the high hat should have been sharper, it feels a little too open (can't find the proper word)

I always nitpick, it's a problem :/. Production and mix are really important for me

Hey, they need to retain what's left of the metal Opeth fanbase
