AMLoR has Learning to Fly and Sorrow, but I think this has nothing of interest
|
| |
This is miles ahead of A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
Pretty much every song on here rules or at least serves its purpose in terms of the concept and the feel of the album.

No Floyd is a 2 though

Album Rating: 3.5
i've listened through this a number of times some great moments but nothing ever clicked hard, dont get me wrong a lot of the wall is shit but it has a lot more memorable songs than here i reckon, comfortably numb being the most obvious

Album Rating: 4.5
its not really the music so much on this (altho gilmour does some great leads) its the whole atmosphere and lyrics
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
the actual instrumentation on this album took a nosedive from the wall
gilmour has a few killer solos tho
and yeah, the songwriting and lyrics are brilliant, I feel this album like nothing else when I listen. two suns in the sunset is probably the most (easily one of the most) terrifying song I've ever heard
