I remember the first song I heard off of this while back I found somehwat enjoyable. Than I remember listening to the opening tracks thinking, well this is still above average but not by much, why is everyone giving this 1's? Finally about 3 tracks later I had had enough. This album is so boring and samey it is practically impossible to listen to all the way through.

Seriously, you know it is an overwhelming population of nUb's when Steerpike's pwns are only 1 line. Trivium fanboys = the suck.

Trivium fanboys could fuck up a wet dream. I just don't have the patience for this stupidity today.

Yeah, if you peek into my It Dies Today review (not trying to whore but this is relevant) I actually thanked someone for not having a fanyboy post and for using proper grammer on his first post. Seriously it is rare to come across these things now a days.

After many listens I still think this is a good album. Also not everyone who likes trivium is a fanboy, I just enjoy the music.

That's cool for you (seriously). It just gets really old when people come in here and in their first post curse, use improper grammer, and neg a wonderfully written review simply because they disagree with it. But it's cool if you like the music. :chug:

Edit: I also wasn't trying to say that anyone who likes Trivium is a fanboy, I hope it didn't come off that way. I actually enjoyed their previous release and thought they were great at SOTU but I just cannot get into this record. This Message Edited On 11.08.06

Im disappointed in this review and comments. Are you not metal fans or are you on drugs? This is one of the few new metal bands that changed their ways from crappy metalcore/hardcore music to actual metal. Who cares if theyre biggest influence is Metallica, thats probably the biggest metal influence out there. I'd rather have them sound like Metallica than any other crap hardcore band out there. I have a feeling none of you have really listened to metal, and you probably never listened to one song on this album. If you listen to music that includes Bleeding Through and Atreyu, I think you shouldn't have even been allowed to view this review. I've listened to metal since I started listening to music; Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Testament, Overkill, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. (Continue to the below post). This Message Edited On 11.10.06

I havent found a new metal band that doesnt sound the same as every other band, playing the same note over and over with screaming vocals that you cant understand and NO SOLOS, which makes metal. Trivium should be a set standard for new metal bands. They can actually play very well, have nice solos, and vocals that you can understand. I think you all either listen to real metal or get lost, and dont bother writing a comment if your a hardcore/metalcore fan. (and dont bother trying to fire back, if your a real metal fan then you would be thinking the same thing I am, and im not changing what I think. So deal.)This Message Edited On 11.10.06

Yes, I'm on drugs. Want some?
Who cares if theyre biggest influence is Metallica, thats probably the biggest metal influence out there.

But Metallica still sucks.
have a feeling none of you have really listened to metal,

Little boy, you must now face me in ritual metal-off. Do you want to start or should I?
If you listen to music that includes Bleeding Through and Atreyu, I think you shouldn't have even been allowed to view this review.

Aside from the fact that few of us do, who the fuck do you think you are to say, kid? You want to back that up?

Well then you're stupid.

Read the rest of it now, it got messed up, and I dont change what I believe. You dont listen to metal, you listen to cheap rip off metal that any moron with a GP average of 1.0 can play. Insult me when you listen to real metal.

Uh, kid? You may want to actually read my reviews before you accuse me of not listening to metal.

You see, I litsen to Savatage, Megadeth, Blind Guardian, Slough Feg, Kamelot, Rhapsody of Fire, Death, Bathory, Mastodon, Cathedral, Candlemass, Saint Vitus, Send More Paramedics, Nightwish, After Forever, Edguy, DragonForce, Sabaton.... the list goes on!

Now, face me in ritual metal-off or forever sit alone in your shame.

and dont bother trying to fire back, if your a real metal fan then you would be thinking the same thing I am, and im not changing what I think. So deal.

Big talk, little boy. Come back when you're actually able to back it up.This Message Edited On 11.10.06

Given I like Megadeth, Mastodon, and a little of DragonForce, the rest I could care less, and what is a metal-off exactly? Some lame excuse for new metal kids like you to prove that your better than real metalheads like me?

You call yourself a metalhead, yet you don't listen to Bathory, the greatest black/Viking metal band ever?

Oh, this is rich!

Anyway, ritual metal-off is proving that I'm more metal than you. It's kind of pointless though. The fact that you don't know Bathory means I win by default.

Stop watching MTV and cruise this site for about a month before you embarass yourself any further. This Message Edited On 11.10.06

So you think your more of a metalhead that me cause I dont listen to one band that you think is the greatest? Highly doubt it, and we can go on about this forever, and I dont get MTV2 so that attempt of an insult went out the window. What are you thinking when you try to prove your more metal when you have Nightwish as a metal band? Thats right up there on my list of bands that arent even close to metal, along with Poison and Scorpions. You can type all you want, try to insult me, call me a "little boy" (still cant figure out what thats about), and shit like that, but you can prove anything with a list of metal bands like that and no older metal bands. Your just an average kid who thinks metal is all this new shit coming out, but yet have you listened to more than 5 old metal bands? I highly doubt you have (even though you'll probably try to prove otherwise), and I highly doubt any people who wrote comments on this page has. Im not changing my comments, nor what I believe. This album is metal, 95% of the people commenting on this album arent. Youre apart of the 95%.
