Nah it's amazing. However this is really the only Dredg album that I like this much. I only enjoy the first part of CWO and Leitmotif's final third just kills the album.

Nah it's boring and totally self-indulgent with almost no energy or spark.

I was going to make a quip about a lethargic panda bear...and then I remembered that panda bears actually are incredibly lazy, un-energetic animals naturally. So now I'm not even sure if you were being serious or not, despite your high rating of the album.
I'm just going to walk away. It's too late and I'm too drunk for these sorts of shenanigans. This album is a picture of utter mediocrity though.

I'm having the hardest time getting into this. It's the vocals/lyrics. The music is fantastically lush and varied but I feel like the vocalist sings the same exact melody over every line, and I just can't get past how melo-dramatic his tone sounds to me.
Then the lyrics.
Triangle - "... and babies are born in the same buildings where people go to pass away."
Nice concept there, I suppose, but the phrasing and word choice combined with the timing of his delivery is so ridiculously amateur and clunky sounding to me. Pretty much all of the lyrics on this album hit me that way. I'm not rating this yet because I know certain albums take time, but man I just don't get it. Yet.

It's meant to sound clunky and amateur and awkward. That's the beauty of it!
