'What are the big post punk bands that are still GOOD doing rn?'
None of these bands are "big" but they have all put out at least one great (to my mind) album within the last few years:
• Black Marble
• DITZ
• Famous
• Fashion Tips
• Fotbal
• Gilla Band (arguably more noise rock)
• Gurriers
• Just Mustard
• Makthaverskan
• M(h)aol
• The Psychotic Monks
• Pure Adult
• Throat
|
| |
new Makthaverskan was v overlooked, highlights on that thing were huge. defs on the breezy end of the genre though, just as Just Mustard is more straight Cranes worship than wholesale post punk

Makthaverskan is my perpetual 3.5 band and I'm mostly okay with that. Great tunes, nothing world-beating or genre defining or whatever but they've never disappointed imo.

I am with you Tec. I always have a damn good time with them but they also don't leave like a big impression on me

yeah i found the ditz album incredibly boring compared to their last one
black marble is an excellent shout though, if anyone likes the poppier side of post-punk

finally decided to give this album a shake and oof. i feel like i’m at a house party and some sheltered college kid just hijacked the aux to make me listen to sgt. peppers lonely hearts club.
