Album is great. Some very enjoyable stuff. And a few major duds that mess with the flow. Still a nice addition to their discography even as it doesn’t hit the highs of Eternal Blue. Deep end is a hell of a closer and beautiful.

Okay now, we've had a grey album, a white/pale yellow/whatever album, a blue album, a red album, a purple album and a black album so far. What color next?

I respect your high autism level. Maybe android green or antique fuscia next? Cherry blossom pink?

Ended up 3.5ing it, one of the major reasons being the "wall of sound" production on some songs where it's sometimes hard to hear what they're even playing. I get that it has to be the Courtney show in a way, but please, let the instruments shine a bit more too.

I'm not the biggest fan of Mike's guitarwork anymore so I kind of get why it's not front-and-center all the time

I think antique fuscia would do, or maybe chrome yellow with grain effect like the purple on the Fear artwork.

My biggest issue with this band is how Courtney sings in a low, sleepy register for most of their material. There are times where she sings higher (like end of Circle With Me and Perfect Soul), but it's so rare. Maybe she's afraid of doing that and having to do it live, but I wish she did it more often.

kind of see your point but she does plenty of lows mids and highs throughout their discography. Maybe not as often recently

I said this exact thing after EB too when we got more of the same on Fear and Roto. Her vocal delivery needs some adjustment/diversity.

I get that her vocals maybe have gotten slightly lax lately but have you heard Hail Mary? This bitch is Phil Bozeman with a vagina, she can do anything she wants

I feel like they had a wheel labeled with various vocal effects and they just spun it for every song to decide which effect to use while producing this
