I like the chorus to Bleeding Out, there are a lot of good catchy choruses on here.

Man the lyrics really do hold this back though, its so frustrating, melodically this album slaps, choruses are all great from a melody standpoint but these lyrics at times just do not work.

How many more times are bands going to use the whole "end of the beginning" "beginning of the end" bullshit when titling instrumental songs. Jesus

@flug

Yeah, end the transmissiom gives me slightly "this is our house" vibes with the chorus and I don't like that. The main riff is pretty good though

A couple of the choruses/clean vocal sections sound kinda forced and awkward but most are melodically satisfying

I think the worst for me is probably the whole "if you look in the mirror" section

I like the Meet Your Maker chorus, and I've been pretty down on their big anthemic choruses since Battles. The lyrics are probably the worst they've ever been though.

After spinning it a few times since release I'd definitely say it's their best since at least ASOP, maybe even Come Clarity. It's nothing flashy, but it doesn't really have to be. There's only one track I don't like (Cynosure) but most IF albums have one or two songs I don't care for.

I feel like each song has moments of greatness and that's been missing since at least Siren Charms.

Their best album post-CC imo was SOAPF. Best overall writing and production, especially compared to the abysmal Siren Charms that came right after. This is a nice blend of that and something like Clayman. Very enjoyable sound overall. The lyrics are indeed pretty atrocious but most of the time not the point of being distracting.

That solo is really cool yeah. Chris broderick's solos really help elevate this album for sure

most of the solo work is Bjorn's iirc but I wouldn't be surprised if Chris wrote a few of them

At the very least Meet Your Maker is Chris as confirmed by the video.
