Shit that's a good idea Onion. Why didn't I think of that?
Hahah sorry Nash. Like I said, it's still good. I don't skip it or anything. It's just the one I enjoy the least.

It's not that they took influence from Dillinger, its that the vocal personality follows along with Puciato's delivery almost to the point of being a blatant copy in most regards. Still not a bad listen, enjoying this quite a bit but the parallel is more than obvious

Idk man I think you’re over analyzing the vocals. They’re both phenomenal vocalist in the same’ish genre. I guess I kinda agree that they kinda have similar timbre with the harsh vocals, but I think Brent’s singing is much more varied and used much more often than Puciato does. His vocals and the guitar work are the highlights of the album for me

Agree with Zakusz but Puciato is like my fave vocalist ever so I very much do not mind (and even encourage) the similarities lol. Between this and Soul Glo it's been a nice couple of weeks in that regard. Prob my top 2 albums of this year so far in large part because of that lol

I’m sure he’s definitely influenced by Puciato considering he’s like the face of mathcore vocals and how to do them well. I just don’t agree with the blatantly copying him part. Brent deserves more credit than that in my opinion

Oh yeah he's for sure different enough that I wouldn't say he's copying. His voice has a bit of a lower register which allows him to do stuff Puciato kinda can't

Idk how some people can consistently make extremely catchy hooks/choruses… I feel the same way about guitar too. I’ve played for over 10 years and my theory is that it’s mostly natural talent/ability. It’s hard for me to believe Brent and the guitarist both have that talent in spades lol

The riffs throughout this album are ecstasy for someone like me

as a whole i think this album compares favourably to Empty Black, with a more consistent quality overall
was pleasantly surprised after not being particularly impressed by the singles

I don’t understand why they made the closer a single instead of the other 7 bangers with good or catchy choruses. It’s a good song but it didn’t get many people hyped for the album. At least that on saw online

putting the closer out as a single is always a horrible move no matter how good the song/band is

I’m assuming their label makes those decisions…? If so their label is terrible. Completely botched every part of the pre album release process/buildup

More Hands should've been a single instead of Ornaments

Equal Vision is typically a good Label. Maybe they or the band or both wanted to hit more mainstream audiences I don’t know

General audiences are in for a hell of a surprise when they realize the other 7 songs are mathcore with catchy choruses lmao

You know someone out there randomly heard all candy and ornaments only and decided to check the album out. Track one smacks em right out of the gate

Can’t quite shake the feeling that this is a bit too much of a rehash of what they were doing on EB. I enjoy the record, just wanted more of a barn burner from these fellas.
