Definitely fits the playfulness, an aspect of the album which I think also serves the profundity on display.

This can be no less than a 5.

It joins the rare ranks of worthwhile double albums/long albums, alongside Tusk, the White album, Mellon Collie etc.

Not for me yet - ‘Time Escaping’ blew me away today, I always liked the flow of the first three songs but that ones really growing on me more and more

Think a classic example of an album you’ll forget a song and then be won over by it on a full album listen down the line

I kind of hated “Time Escaping” on the first listen but it’s creeping up on me. It’s obviously the most abrasive thing here and is very jarring after the super smooth and pretty opener, but I like that it announces immediately that this is going to be a genre-hopper and not smooth all the way through. Admittedly not sure it’s the kind of song I’d ever choose to listen to out of context though.

I've listened to Time Escaping by itself more times than any other song today lmao

So to each their own

it's weird: I think "change" is boring but it's also a good opener. but "time escaping" is where my ears perk up for sure.

‘Change’ works because this thing is 20 songs long and they have time on their side - it’s a really understated way to kick off an album. Just going into ‘Time Escaping’ or ‘Spud’ at track 1 wouldn’t be right

I think Change is gorgeous and top maybe 8 tracks here, but Time Escaping is top 3

My top 3 right now are Time Escaping, Simulation Swarm, and the title track

"change" also sounds a lot like another song I know. is it just "magic dealer"? oh yeah it totally is

I hear it…Magic Dealer was my least favourite on UFOF and yeah I do still prefer Change overall.

If this had been the direct follow up to that album you’d say definitely an intentional thing

This isn't quite a 5 for me as a whole (at least yet) but I'm considering bumping just for how well this works when put on shuffle for like half the album's length, these songs are just amazing in any order

Red Moon's and Spud Infinity's country twang also won me over

This whole album is a shoot

Change is one of my favorite songs, interesting choice as the opener, I could honestly see it as a great closer
