Just listened to the track by itself (trying to remove album context) and there's a vague openness to it that could compare to just about anything. i.e. Linkin Park One More Light references could be carelessly slapped in here and it would work until it doesn't.

Sorry, Closer is just a limp listen for me -- not used to RT tracks not engaging me on any level, and for 5 full minutes.



Honestly avoid bulk of Cosmology and Hysterics. Grievances is my peak, but love the surrounding albums and new one.

I remember everyone going nuts over it. I listened to it once and enjoyed it, but I really didn't think it was up my alley at all. In hindsight, I'm not sure why. I must have been so far into the indie-folk realm in 2018 that I'd lost my way.
