really wish when they reformed they would've went back to work with Matt Goldman since he handled all the production on DTGL up until they broke up. Matt Squire is a trash producer & self producing here was just a boneheaded move.
Feel like Underoath still shows signs of having a great album in them they just keep making poor choices. I think Matt Goldman would help steer the ship back in the right direction

“Better” is such a weird identifier; u could argue it’s more polished? but i feel like changing of times wins from a composition/predictability standpoint. jus depends what u value in ur tunes ig.
regardless, this album instills real hope and has some nice segments but it suffocates under the weight of it’s shortcomings
