Whoever rec'd the new Unflesh album as more good 2021 tech death, I say thank you because that album slaps hard

The similar artists is pretty accurate unfortunately. I definitely didn't mean to say they sound like Archspire by mentioning them here.

"I would be quite disappointed if this truly was recorded note by note. Watching some real playthroughs of the band for other songs I'm sure that is not the case."

Most of these techy bands can play their stuff well enough to translate live, but will often record note-by-note to get even more precision and create that cold inhuman feeling. Personally, I hate the way it sounds. I don't know if they did it on this album but I know for a fact that they did on at least one previous recording since my old band worked with the engineer shortly after they did. I haven't even listened to this one

Dayum Spencer Prewett must be manufactured by Cyberdyne Systems because human bones can't withstand sustained levels of woodpeckering insanity at those speeds.

This is my first serving of Archspire. Shocked by how heavy it is. Reminds me of when I was younger and listened to death metal for the first time.

First listen at the moment and 5 tracks in this is definitely the most fun I've had listening to Archspire. Usually it's a bit of a slog but this feels a bit more listenable - whether it's a production tweak or songwiriting dunno.

Or maybe i'm just in the mood.

LeddSled how you gonna rate Taylor Swift's Evermore better than this release? Yeah, I noticed. I hereby sentence you to a year of peeing sitting down for your insolence! ;)
