Cigarettes After Sex is a band full of 5/5 songs while still doing terrible albums. But honestly. No need in knocking that. I’m small doses they are wonderful. I don’t hate them. I just have trouble making it through an album of their stuff. But if folks like them then let’s go.

Cigarettes After Sex aren’t shoegaze as such - more slowcore and some type of pop, maybe dream pop I guess. They have a bit of a shoegaze feel at times only.



These vocals aren’t bad for shoegaze as it’s a genre with notoriously weak vocals

Is kinda dream popy yeah but I agree that they are not full shoegaze I also agree with Doof that vocals on Shoegaze in general are kinda weak, for the most part, I didn't listened to every shoegaze band.

This is WAY better than Wildhund. The instrumentals are actually interesting. And the vocals are way more dynamic. One of my main gripes with Wildhund was how 90’s grunge the vocals were.
