I heard the first single and I was intrigued, listened to half the album and felt it was a bit exhausting
Black midi is much more interesting to me if we're comparing the two, but Black midi has so many groovy moments, this is just kinda fumbling around instumentally while the singer kinda shouts
Black midi reminds me of CAN and fuck i love me some prime CAN

I genuinely don't know if Baseline is trolling or not.

All you need to know is that baseline is a master of rhetoric

I'm just the voice of the unheard (or literally an evil person, depends how you look at it). If I was sputnik's dream troll my profile would come accompanied with subpar taste, don't you think?
The thing is, you see, I came back on this site after a relationship with a man who, in the hardest of times, acted very weak, so now I just hate clown bands that remind me of him. This band is one of them, but Black Midi remain the gamma kings, really... when I hear or watch their vocalist perform I pray to God in my mind not to birth a boy like him, I know, I'm awful lol.

Then why did you give this a 5???

I read an absolute crapton of genres/general descriptors relating to this and was expecting an assault on the senses, something a little harder to wrap my head around. This actually feels quite tame thus far.

Okay this is growing on me. Quite enjoyable for what it is. Certainly better than Black Midi (for some reason they’re being compared).

They’re compared because they’re part of the same scene/label.

Fair enough. I just can’t really hear too many similarities, apart from a vague ‘new breed of British post-punk’ sort of deal.

This album's ok, but his vocals in Narrator, as it reaches its crescendo always hit me super hard for some reason.

All about Narrator after an initial inspection.
It’s growing. Looking forward to another spin.

Narrator really does need a bit of chopping and a bit less of that bird squealing.
